Robert Lewandowski has given his answer on who should win the most valuable individual award, the ‘Golden Ball’.
The Polish striker of Barcelona thinks like most football fans that Karim Benzema deserves to win the ‘Golden Ball’ for 2022.
Of course the Frenchman is the main favorite for such a thing, but Lewa thinks he should win it.
However, the Polish attacker has ironized the fact that three years ago the ceremony was canceled due to COVID-19 and he did not win the much sought after award.
“Benzema is one of the main contenders. If they don’t cancel it, then the Real Madrid forward will probably win it this year,” Lewa told Movistarplus.
In the 2019-20 season, Lewandowski was the main favorite to win the ‘Golden Ball’ after he had won everything with Bayern and the Pole had scored 55 goals.
But that year the ceremony was canceled due to COVID-19 and Lewa has been left without the ‘Golden Ball’.
