The enthusiasm that accompanied Barcelona at the beginning of the season seems to have died down, at least partially, after the last performances between the Champions League and La Liga.
The defeat in El Clasico and the two results against Inter in Europe have raised some doubts about the Catalans and the work of coach Xavi.
One of those who have doubts is Guti, former historic player of Real Madrid, who told El Chiringuito:
“Xavi thinks that this Barcelona can play like the one he played in. There are no such players and if he will continue to work as a coach, in Barcelona as in any other club, he will have to learn to adapt the players to the different game systems”.
And still: “I believe that Xavi should make a self-criticism because he made some mistakes as a coach in some matches”, was Guti’s harsh comment.
“Anyway, if Barcelona trusted him, making him coach of the first team, I think he expected to have some difficulties. I don’t think that a short-term period has been taken even though Xavi has just started his job as a coach”.
