The prestigious French magazine, France Football has published a summary of the Ballon d’Or 2022 competition, where it has also revealed the votes of all those who were in the running for the prestigious individual award.

A few days ago, the Golden Ball award ceremony was held, where the Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema, won this great award for the first time.

However, the award won by Benzema was fully deserved due to his high form in the last season and the huge margin of votes over his rivals.
Benzema triumphed in this competition with a total of 549 votes from the jury of 93 members, while Sadio Mane came second with 193 votes and Kevin de Bruyne who completed the podium with 176 votes.

Robert Lewandowski (170 votes), fifth Mohamed Salah (116 votes), followed by Kylian Mbappe (85 votes), Thibaut Courtois (82 votes), Vinicius Jr (61 votes), Luka Modric ( 20 votes) and Erling Haaland tenth with 18 votes.

11th place went to Son Heung-min with five votes, Riyad Mahrez 12th with four votes, Sebastian Haller, Fabinho and Rafael Leao had two votes each, while Virgil Van Dijk, Casemiro, Luis Diaz and Dusan Vlahovic 19th place by one vote.

Cristiano Ronaldo finished 20th without any votes, while the other players without votes in the Ballon d’Or race from 21-30 were Harry Kane, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo, Joshua Kimmich, Mike Maignan , Christopher Nkunku, Darwin Nunez and Antonio Rudiger
