The World Championship has started with controversy, the reason for a goal canceled by Ecuador by VAR.
The Ecuadorians scored a goal in the third minute through Enner Valencia against the hosts of the World Cup, Qatar.
However, the Ecuadorian captain’s goal was canceled by VAR, while there is controversy that it should not have been canceled and that it was not related to an offside position.

FIFA rules specify that if a player of the team (replacing the goalkeeper) who is performing the defensive phase is behind the goalkeeper, then the opposing team’s players who are more advanced are automatically in an offside position.
Therefore, the Ecuadorian players who had surrounded the goalkeeper of Qatar, are in an offside position, while the number 13, Valencia, is also in an offside position. /
