The author of one of the goals during the 4-1 victory against South Korea, Neymar admitted that he was afraid that may not be back in time for the Qatar 2022 World Cup after the Brazilian star suffered an injury in lateral ligament of the right ankle.
In an interview with “SporTV”, the number 10 said that he had spent the night crying when his problem confirmed.
“Of course, there was a lot of fear about the injury. I had done very well, a very good season, and it suffering an injury during the World Cup is very difficult. I spent the night crying, my family knows but it was worth the trouble in the end.
That day I stayed until 11 in the morning being treated by the physiotherapist and on other days until 5-6 in the morning. All suffering is worth it that we can crown a title.
I had doubts and fears, but I had all the support from family and friends. I received many messages good, they sent me good energies. This comforted me a lot. I can’t thank everyone with messages, but we will try for Brazil to win the World Cup”, said Neymar.
