In an interview for MUTV, Erik ten Hag spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from Manchester United, saying that he already belongs to the past.

The Portuguese superstar asked to leave Old Trafford and finally got it at the end of November after an interview with Piers Morgan, where he made numerous criticisms against the coach and the club.

“He is gone and belongs to the past. We are looking forward and we are looking to the future”, said Ten Hag in the interview published on Wednesday.

The Dutchman has said that his job is to rebuild the team and get it back to winning ways once the players return from the World Cup.

“We have warned the players that after they leave the World Championship, they should come to the club and the league, which will start immediately”, the coach stated.
