Lionel Messi is said to have other options in mind for his future after this summer and returning to Barcelona is not part of the plans.

The future destination of the Paris Saint-Germain and Argentina star depends heavily on his winning the Qatar 2020 World Cup this winter.
However, according to El Nacional , the football legend has told his former club Barcelona that he will not be joining them next summer, regardless of the results at the World Cup.
The report says that if Messi were to win the World Cup, he would move to Inter Miami in the MLS for a few seasons before retiring.

Should he fail in his task, he would extend his contract with PSG for another year until 2024, with the hope of winning the Champions League again.
Otherwise, Messi is developing a good World Championship, where so far he has scored three goals and has led Argentina to qualify for the quarterfinals.
